The Emerging Technologies & Innovation Club (ETIC) brings together students who want to understand how ambitious ideas move from concept to reality—how startups are built, how technology scales, and how founders and investors think at the frontier of innovation.
Our Mission
ETIC exists to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real world of innovation.
Our mission is to expose students to how technology-driven companies are formed, funded, evaluated, and scaled, and how leadership decisions shape outcomes at both early and global scale.
We emphasize real-world thinking, curiosity, and long-term perspective over theory alone.
What We Explore
ETIC focuses on the intersection of technology, capital, and execution. Topics include:
- How startups are built and funded from the earliest stages
- How investors evaluate founders, ideas, and emerging technologies
- Early-stage venture thinking and long-term conviction
- Software and enterprise technology at global scale
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning, data, and risk analytics
- Technology-enabled transformation of traditional industries such as finance, housing, infrastructure, and commerce
- Scaling companies across markets, including international and emerging economies
- Leadership, decision-making, and operating in complex, high-impact environments
Students are encouraged to think critically about how ideas become durable businesses.
